🛒 Ingredients:
- 500g (1 lb) beef chunks (stew meat)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups beef broth (or water with bouillon cube)
👨🍳 Instructions (5 Easy Steps):
Step 1: Sear the Beef
Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add beef chunks and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Step 2: Sauté Veggies
In the same pot, add chopped onion and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Stir in tomato paste and cook for another minute.
Step 3: Add Veggies & Spices
Return the beef to the pot. Add carrots, potatoes, paprika, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
Step 4: Pour in the Broth
Pour in the beef broth until everything is covered. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
Step 5: Simmer Until Tender
Cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fork-tender and the flavors are rich.
